Anita S. Crane is a writer, IT professional, and theater volunteer. She has worked on almost 30 productions at the Toledo Repertoire Theatre since 1999, including 15 mainstage shows as stage manager.
She was inspired to write A Real Part of the Show by all the unsung heroes of technical theater that she’s worked with over the years. The actors get the applause and the directors get the praise, and rightly so, but it’s time to shine a spotlight on the other people who make the show go on.
Anita lives with her husband, Brad, who shares her love of theater, and their two cats, Maddie and Lexie. When she’s not backstage or at her writing desk, she works for The University of Toledo.
